The Neighbourhood

Antiperni is a pretty, picturesque village «encountered» by dense vegetation and located next to the village of Karousades. The village is situated in the central North part of Corfu, on the top of a hill with scenic views to the valleys on the East and West side of the village. It is said that Antiperni has preserved its name from mythology, because Homer refers to this village with the name Antipernaia, which means «to go across», meaning across the fortress of the city of Faiakes which is believed to be situated on the hill where, Agrafi is today. It is a very quiet village, even though it is a few minutes away from the big resorts of the north coast of the island, Sidari, Roda, and Acharavi.

We had a great stay at Johnny’s place. His mother greeted us and let us into the apartment. At that point we did not know yet how she would go above and beyond to make sure our stay was great — giving us local recommendations, checking on us in the middle of the visit and even bringing an Eastern gift for our daughter. Thanks so much! During the time we also were always in touch with Johnny who helped us if we had any questions. I very much recommend the apartment and the hosts.
